7.3.2010 - Vesa Hirvonen in snow works at his home rally

Home rally for Vesa Hirvonen was again full of misfortune. After third stage he was just 9 seconds behind the SM2-group leader but on the next stage his rally was end due off and 10 minutes of snow works.

- After fast paced section a left corner tightned just a bit too much and we dived deep into snow banks. Perhaps the pace note came a bit too late and therefore I couldn't do anything for it, told dissapointed Hirvonen.

- After 10 minutes of digging with spectators we were able to get our car back to the stage. Only front bumper suffered damage but the engine compartment was full of snow and therefore it didn't provide any power at all. We were forced to retire the event, Hirvonen continued.

- I was in a very good speed and fighting for the victory. Fast paced sections suites good for our car. But then again my misfortune can be said that this is how we deal home rallies in our town, because last year the same rally was finished in a same way. Despite troubles I love rallying, Hirvonen tells.
